Have any seniors heard of the apple cider vinegar cure for Acid Reflux?
This is known to be a cure all for acid reflux and also for weight
loss too. It has natural compounds that help the liver break down cortisol, insulin, and fat storing hormones. Taking 1 oz. mixed with 8 oz water 2x daily experts say, you will drop weight
within a week. And for acid reflux, you will feel immediate results. My hubby says it works for him and sees’ his tummy
going down. Worth a try, don’t you think? I couldn’t stay on the
reflux pills, so I’m going to try it now.
The results my husband has seen with
losing ten pounds also, is from just one
weeks’ use. He doesn’t mix with water
tho. He swigs down what he thinks is
the 1 oz of apple cider vinegar. Make
sure you buy none other. As this is the
one to buy for results. He bought ours at
a grocery store, rather than a health food store. He’s also drinking more
bottled water, and juices, and iced tea.
Keeping hydrated is good for you also.

I’m not a senior but I know this is a very good solution for stomach upset. The most important affect of vinagar is that it will ward off food poisening. A person who has had a table spoon of vinegar with some water is less likely to have food poisening from bad meat or fish. Very popular in places that eat raw fish. Fish with vinegar (instead of salt)
The pharmacudical companies don’t want us to know these simple cures for so much of what ails us. If this catches on, they’ll be charging medical prices for vinegar!
Another idea. Vinegar is good for washing your face also. It causes the blood to come to the surface of the skin and that is healthy. Just as people used vinegar for douches and for putting in laundry, vinegar is a wonderful, soothing bath and facial wash.
Keep it simple and save tons of money on cosmetics. It works just fine.
I’ve noticed all kinds of vinegar work that way.
I tried this years ago without results.
Lemon juice and salt combination relieves acid discomfort.

I have indeed heard of this cure for AR. I read it somewhere, prior to today & passed it along to my daughter-in-law who has suffered with AR after the birth of my youngest granddaughter. She drinks the vinegar (1 Tblsp) & water twice daily, it nutralizes the acidity in her stomach & she is feeling so much better. She still watches what she eats & drinks, as that’s important too. Vinegar is great for so many things & there are books a person can buy to marvel at what all vinegar can do. Congrats to your husband. I’m glad it’s working for him.
edit: In either situation, should the vinegar be taken on am empty or full stomach? How soon did your husband start losing? Thanks for sharing!!!
My husband and I are going to try it, I need lose some weigh and he has acid reflux, thank you as you said it is worth a try
never heard of it — but since there is nothing that will hurt and my help in my weight loss program – willing to give it a try — will buy some vinegar tomorrow and try it!!
You know years ago people use to drink dill pickle juice for their upset stomachs, almost same solution
Please check out this site to read an interesting two-page history and also learn about some of the pros and cons of apple cider as a remedy. Very interesting reading, and some of the information about the possible dangers could save you from unintentionally inviting some harm to yourself (if you’re not careful).
Thank you!
I have known people that did the vinegar/water for weight loss and it worked. As far a for acid reflux, I tried everything under the sun. The vinegar didn’t work for me for acid reflux, but everyone is different. I had acid reflux for 29 yrs, and ended up having to go through surgery last year to repair the stomach so the acid didn’t come up into the esophagus. I found out I have Barrett’s Esophagus due to not seeking relief sooner. I see no harm in trying the vinegar, but be careful in treating yourself for the acid reflux, even with OTC drugs. An endoscopy test was my saving grace. I think I’ll give the apple cider vinegar a try for the weight loss though. Sounds interesting, and thanks for the detail as to how it works in the liver. Good explanation!
