I am having some problems with acid reflux / nausea and can’t get into the dr. for a few days. Wondered if someone knew which otc medication works the best. The problem is worse in the early morning.

I’m a nurse and any generic antacid will work. You really don’t have to spend a lot of money to get the desired results, try any one of them. However prilosec will also work. Take care and all the best.
Hey, I use vinegar only a teaspoon it really works.
I just take sips of milk. This is an "instant" reliever. It comes back, so I just keep drinking milk. I don’t think the over the counter meds work very well. And they take a long time to work if they help any at all. Hope this helps you.
Myalanta is good or just bicarbonate in cordial drink may help. May also help not to eat a few hours before sleeping and also having 2 pillows or sleep propped right up so that your head is higher. The sooner you see the doctor the better.
Well, I would suggest something like Pepcid AC or something like that. Also, in the morning are you drinking coffee? If so, I know it would be hard to do but stop. Certain foods and beverages and even the way that you sleep can cause acid reflux to increase no matter how much med you take.
Avoid eating anything that is citrus, or drinking coffee.
Avoid eating chocolate or other high fat foods or very rich foods.
Do some relaxation excerises due to stress which also helps cause this condition.
If you smoke, well, it doesn’t help- it can make it worse.
Sleep at a 45 degree incline, this will help to keep the acid from creeping up your throat.
Avoid eating right before you go to bed. Personally, I found that eating no later than six PM seemed to work best.
I know that my acid reflux was so bad that the dr prescribed Tagament 400 MG that I had to take twice a day to keep me somewhat under control. And once I got rid of my boyfriend at the time, my acid reflux went away. Go figure! LOL
