i agree with tejanodude. i’ve had acid reflex for a while and i get it from eating a lot of food containing acid. almost every time i eat, i can hardly swallow, the food gets stuck in my esophagus. and i get a few heartburns here and there. i really dont think anxiety has anything to do with it
Acid reflux is acid from your stomach spraying up into your esophagus. There are numerous sysmtoms. Normally you may get a pain in your stomach, sometimes just below the rib cage. Other times you will feel a burning sensation at the back of your throat. Other times it may feel like a pain in your chest normally the left side by your heart, which is why they call it heart burn. You may also feel an ache at the back of your neck.
Acid reflux can possibly cause anxiety because it’s annoying and makes you worry when you get reflux. I suffered for years. And i can tell you it irritated me so much that i did get anxiety as well.
My suggestion is take a close look at your diet if this question is about yourself.
hey there i hope this helps you out, but i’ve had acid reflux for a while now and its usually associated with eating spicy or acidy stuff. usually you will get it when eating something and not chewing it right it gets stuck inside ur esophagus and most of the time it makes u feel very nauseated you really don’t puke but you juz spit out saliva. as far as acid reflux associated with anxiety i really don’t think so
