Question about acid reflux left untreated.?
I have been diagnosed by my doctor with acid reflux. I have had it since I was a baby (although back then it was just projectile vomiting.. like the exorcist lol)
I can’t afford to pay for my prescription medicine for it, and it really sucks to have it all the time. I can feel the constant burn everyday, although I am used to it a bit since it occurs all day everyday. Are there any "home remedies" that are cheap that I can use to reduce this. My mom had acid reflux as a kid and didn’t treat it and she now has gurd which can turn to cancer if untreated. I don’t want mine to get this serious! What can I do to control the acid without medication? Are there certain things I should eat and certain foods I should avoid?
I really appreciate any help you can give me and I will use any advice given so please help me on this!

Well I don’t like salty food at all! Actually I hate salty flavor just for the reason that it makes the acid worse I hate the taste completely. I also hate tomatoes. I really don’t eat much spicy or salty food, but my favorite food is lemons ( when my mom was pregnant with me she craved lemons) but I rarely eat those too because of the acid. I feel it all the time, every day, it really hurts. I hate it. I just wish I could make it go away.
I seriously doubt that any type of vinegar would help at all! Vinegar is highly acidic and that’s my problem…

I don’t know about home remedies, as I only study traditional medicine, but nutritionally, it would be extremely hard to cut the foods you’d need to cut out of your diet. Basically, it’s heart burn (to to tenth degree). Avoid foods that would trigger someone to eat a bottle of tums, lol. Spicy foods such as taco bell is not a good choice…hamburgers…salty things aren’t really a good choice either. Tomato sauces can sometimes cause flare-ups as well. Really, it depends on how touchy your acid refux is, but dietary restrictions may be nearly impossible to uphold.
check out apple cider vinegar, I’ve heard it can help but I’m not sure how you should take it
