I think I misspelled that…
Anyway, I was sick to my stomach so I went to my doctor and she said I had a mix of the stomach bug and acid reflex. The bug is gone but not the acid reflex. It’s a week later and I feel just as worse as the first day. What can I do to make it not hurt as much, and how long does this usually last??
Thanks!

It is usually a chronic illness, but can be controlled by lifestyle changes.
Avoid fatty & fried foods; caffeine; chocolate; peppermint; garlic; onion; alcohol; nicotine.
Eat smaller more frequent meals.
Loosen your belt.
Don’t stoop or bend for more than a few seconds.
Don’t lie down after eating. Wait about 3 hours before lying down after eating to reduce reflux.
Raise the head of your bed by about 6-9".
Maintain a healthy weight.
Use antacids like Rolaids, Tums, Mylanta, Maalox, Gaviscon.
H2 Receptor Blockers: OTC Zantac 75; Axid; Pepcid; Tagamet
Proton pump Inhibitors: Mostly by prescription: Aciphex; Protonix;
Prilosec; Prevacid: Nexium.
Google: mayo clinic>>diseases>>GERD
Feel better
take some tums, or rolaids or any thing that helps prevent acid relflux
Acid Reflux is a chronic condition in which the sphincter around the base of esophagus is not as tight as it should be. Try OTC Prilosec.
its Acid Reflux
take some kind of anti-acid, ex. Pepcid.
it’ll last until the pH in your stomach is normal.
