Avoid fatty &amp; fried foods; caffeine; chocolate; peppermint; garlic; onion; alcohol; nicotine.
Eat smaller more frequent meals.
Loosen your belt.
Don&#039;t stoop or bend for more than a few seconds.
Don&#039;t lie down after eating.  Wait about 3 hours before lying down after eating to reduce reflux.
Raise the head of your bed by about 6-9&quot;.
Maintain a healthy weight.

Use antacids like Rolaids, Tums, Mylanta, Maalox, Gaviscon.
H2 Receptor Blockers: OTC Zantac 75; Axid; Pepcid; Tagamet
Proton pump Inhibitors:  Mostly by prescription:  Aciphex; Protonix;
Prilosec; Prevacid: Nexium.

		<description>I had acid reflux growing up....i still have it but not as bad as i did when i was little. i took this stuff called mylanta...dont know if they still make it but using an antacid should help...ask ur doctor</description>
